Microsoft Confirms Major Windows 10 And Office Updates Twice Per Year, Redstone 3 Launches In September

Having an up-to-date version of your operating system goes a long way in ensuring that it is protected from the latest threats, as well as smoothing out any bugs, introducing new features, improving upon existing ones, and more. The good news for Windows 10 users is that you guys can expect to get these updates at least twice a year.In a post on the Windows Blog, Microsoft laid out their plans in which they promised that they will be releasing two major Windows 10 updates a year. In fact not counting the updates that have already been released, the next major update has been scheduled for September 2017, and the next in March 2018, and it is expected to keep that cycle for the foreseeable future.Microsoft also promised that each release will be supported for 18 months. “Each Windows 10 feature release will be serviced and supported for 18 months. This is consistent with our current Windows 10 approach, but adds further clarity and predictability to organizations by aligning with Office 365 ProPlus.”In the pa
