Apple iPad supply catching up to demand

On Monday, Apple reported that iPad tablet computer supply is starting to catch up to the consumer demand. Apple listed on its online store that any of the six iPad models would be shipped within 24 hours of an order being placed. Millions of iPads have been purchased since their launch in the U.S. in April. The shortened waiting time has prompted the question of whether Apple's production of the device has increased or the demand for the device has slipped. The iPad allows a user to watch video, listen to music, play games, surf the Web or read electronic books from its 9.7-inch touch screen.  The device cost $499 for its lowest version and $829 for its most expensive. The iPad is now available in over a dozen countries, and China Unicom is expected to start selling the device in China mid to late-September.---On the Net:Apple
