Aston Martin revives the Vanquish nameplate
John Neumann for redOrbit.com Luxury English car maker Aston Martin has rolled out its latest flagship supercar and has resurrected a classic name for it. The hand-built Vanquish is available as either a 2-seater or 2+2 version for those with very short-legged rear-seat passengers. This vehicle is not catering towards hauling the kids to soccer practice, however if it is your choice for family commuting, the 573 horsepower, 6.0-liter V12, will get you there on time, maybe earlier. The twelve-cylinder power plant is linked to a six-speed touchtronic two automatic/sequential manual gearbox and the power is converted to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential, writes GT Spirit.com. The exhaust note, sounding as glorious as an opera tenor, is produced by a stainless steel exhaust system with active bypass valves.
