ARCHOS reveals first of new low cost Elements series Android tablets - the 97 carbon
Archos has revealed the first of three of its new entry-level Element line of Android tablets today, the 97 Carbon. The device has an aluminum finish and features a 9.7-inch IPS display, weighs in at 21.8 ounces, and is only .45-inches thick. One of the main points that Archos is mentioning is that the tablet has Google Play pre-loaded, a big step up for Archos which would usually pre-load its own Archos app store to its devices before. Other features include a front and rear camera, 16GB of internal storage, Android 4.0 ICS, the ability to decode full 1080p HD videos and send it to to a HDTV via the HDMI port, 1GB of RAM, a 1GHz single-core processor, and some software pre-loaded including plenty of Google apps and Office Suite Viewer. We don’t have an official date of release yet, just some point in this month of July.
