Eastmoreland Surgical Clinic Burglarized

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Eastmoreland Surgical Clinic, Dr. William Graham's office was burglarized on or about July 5, 2010. Three password-protected desktop computers, one password-protect laptop computer and a backup drive were stolen. The police were immediately notified and a police report was filed with the Portland Police Bureau. ID Experts®, a data breach solutions company, was also retained to assist in notifying the affected patients and to mitigate potential misuse of any patient information. Notification letters were sent to the affected patients via USPS mail on August 20, 2010. The personal information may have included name, address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security number, reason for the visit and insurance carrier information without ID numbers. There have been no reports indicating that the information has been misused. Eastmoreland Surgical Clinic, Dr. Graham's office, is offering one year of CyberScan monitoring to the affected patients.
